Change file extension in Batch/Bulk – Windows Tip

Step 1  : Go to command prompt (Click Start and type cmd).

Step 2 : In the command prompt window navigate to the folder where the files are located.

Step 3 : Type  ren *.(current extension) *.(extension to change)

Example:
ren *.txt *.doc
This will change all the .txt files in that folder to .doc extension file
